Historical Society 440-259-4541 Museum Information

The Perry Historical museum, which is featured on our cover page, was the original Town Hall for the Perry community. The building was built in 1875, and is leased to the Perry Historical Society by the Perry Township Board of Trustees.

Our museum is located at the intersection of Center Road and Main Street. The museum is open to the public the second Saturday of each month from noon to 4 pm and by special request. For more information, telephone 440-259-4541 or email our museum curator redbeard1@alltel.net.

440-259-4541 On the front lawn of the museum is a Ohio Historical Marker honoring Hugh Mosher who was born in Perry and is the fifer in the famous painting the "Spirit of '76."

The Perry Historical Society also maintains changing showcase museum exhibits at the Perry Public Library and the Tarbuck Center.

The "This Old House" program awards Perry Historical site plaques for qualified historic homes or structures in Perry which are at least 75 years old. For information email mrobinson@ncweb.com.

Operation of the Perry Historical Museum is funded with donations received and the annual Chinese Auction fund raiser which is held in the lower level of the museum building during the Perry Street Fair in August. For detailed information on the Chinese Auction e-mail hegolf@ncweb.com
